Hard Drive

The hilly topography around the Lake can cause problems for things like driveways. Over time, gravel and such can stem the tide, but rains and winds will gradually erode and wear away our drives.

That's where a solid, stone retaining wall can harden our driveways against the elements, and also provide a structured, pleasing transition to the front stoop of the house. Here is a recent example, courtesy of Ben's Creek Nursery.

Tying the retaining wall into the stone steps and a walkway to the house was next on our crews' agenda.

Then we added copious pine straw mulch and plantings along the driveway and foundation walls.

And finally, before we left, we cleaned up a little niche space under some steps, with a stone retaining wall matching the driveway.

Zoysia Grass

Some new sod comes to Lake Gaston – Zoysia grass, to be precise. Our crews have been laying down sod for this customer ... 

... as well some fresh mulch …

… and stone walkways and steps.

But it’s the Zoysia grass that will really set this property off. Come spring time the sod will wake from its dormancy and green up beautifully.
