Find Your Niche!

The subject today is underutilized, non-standard space.

This customer recently added a 2nd story hallway connecting the house and an outbuilding.  This resulted in what I call 'niche' space, an open area under the new construction which needed  ... something.

Enter Ben's Creek Landscaping.  In consultation with the owner, a delightful design was developed incorporating patios, walkways, and plantings.  Custom installation by our trained crew proceeded, and the result is shown here!  Click 'MORE' below to see before and after pictures.

The moral of the story: look at your own property with fresh eyes, and find your niche!  Ben's Creek has the expertise to help you develop underutilized space into a positive addition for your home.

Stark Contrasts

Does anything good come without effort?  Possibly; rain and sunshine comes to mind.  But certainly a finely tuned landscape does not leap unbidden from the earth.  Herewith to prove this point are some before and after photos from a recent project.  See if you can tell which is which.

How About Some Sugar?

Sugar Maples, that is.

Sugar Maple is a popular ornamental tree because of its tolerance of shade, spreading form, and brilliant autumn foliage. Right now, our Sugar Maples are full grown trees, close to 20' tall, that have been carefully pruned and managed by our professional staff for upwards of 4 years.

And they are bursting with color:

Our installation pricing is very reasonable.  So, call us, walk our nursery, pick the Sugar Maples you like, and add these colors to your Fall landscape!

Install - That Rhymes with Fall

As those of you who received our Labor Day flyer know, Fall is a great time to install new material.  So I was interested to read what The Grumpy Gardner (of Southern Living fame) considered to be the 10 Best Plants for Fall.

See his list here.

Ben's Creek has the expertise to install anything on his list - and more.  In some cases, like the October Glory Maple, you can come to our nursery and select the one you like from among the hundreds in our inventory!  Here is a sample of the brilliant Fall colors you can expect from these beauties:

For my money, though, I liked the idea of the Pitcher Plant.  Any plant that eats bugs is okay in my book.
