Help Wanted!

Labor Day is near and that means Fall is just around the corner ... and that means we need the help of motivated people who are looking to get ahead in one of the largest, premium landscape companies in the Roanoke Valley.

In the Fall our maintenance work goes into high gear. Additionally, Fall is a great time to install new plant material, as well as Patios, Pools, Walkways, Fire Pits and other Hardscape amenities. And Irrigation systems, let's not forget the installation, maintenance, and repair of watering systems for our precious yards and gardens.

As a result, we are looking to hire Landscape/Maintenance Crew Leaders and Laborers. Experience is preferred, especially for Crew Leaders, but training will be provided and we will consider anyone who is motivated to work and get ahead in our industry. Compensation will be determined based on experience, and any applicant will have to pass a standard drug test.

So all are invited to apply. You can come by the office to pick up an application, or  click here for a link to the same (the link is at the bottom of the post). Fill out and sign the form and email, mail, or drop it off .

We look forward to hearing from you!

Let There Be Light!

The moonlit beauty of this house and grounds is augmented
by a low voltage lighting system (see below)
As the Cole Porter song almost says, night and day ... neath the moon or under the sun ... we like to look at and enjoy our yards and gardens. The natural light of day takes care of itself, but as the picture above attests, the night needs help: low voltage lighting systems that highlight and frame our landscape plan.

That's where Ben's Creek Nursery comes in. As related in our last post, we can design and install a lighting system, and also maintain and repair it for you. And also like our last post, here are some pictures from a recent project of what your property can look like, night and day:

Light Up the Night!

It is said that it is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.

But better yet, install some night lights in your lawns and gardens. Then you will not only forego the cursing, but have a light and shadow show to enjoy in the cool of the evening.

Here at Ben's Creek Nursery we can design the low voltage systems for your particular yardscape, and then install it all in accordance with the specifications you have approved. Herewith some day and night shots of some recent lighting projects:
